Migraines don’t just happen. They get triggered.
If you feel one coming on, take a moment and ask:
What did I eat?
What did I smell?
What am I holding in?
Here are some common triggers:
• Allergens
• Food preservatives
• Artificial sweeteners
• MSG and other neurotoxins
• Stress (physical, emotional, chemical)
• Past trauma (yes, even old injuries)
• Gut-based inflammation
Awareness is key.
Your body is talking. It helps to listen.
This isn’t a full list. Everyone’s different.
If something unusual triggers your migraines, share it below in the comments.
You might help someone else find an answer.

Tori used to miss out on life because of migraines.
Now she’s fully present, with less pain and more life.
When she first came in, she struggled with frequent migraines that kept her from enjoying life with her friends and family.
After starting chiropractic care, she noticed something change.
Fewer headaches.
Less intensity.
More energy.
More freedom.
Her body started responding.
Her nervous system began working the way it was designed to.
And with every adjustment, she felt more like herself again.
Today, Tori isn’t just getting by. She’s living better.

Migraines aren’t all the same.
Understanding the difference matters.
• Classic migraines come with warning signs like visual changes, light sensitivity, and nausea.
• Common migraines skip the aura, but bring the same pounding pain.
• Chronic migraines happen 15 or more days a month. They affect your daily life, energy, focus, and mood.
What they all have in common?
Nervous system involvement.
Tension, poor posture, and spinal misalignment can affect how your brain and body communicate. That disruption can trigger or worsen migraines.
Chiropractic care helps restore alignment and reduce stress on your nervous system.
Less pressure. Fewer triggers. Better function.
If you’re dealing with migraines, there’s hope... and a better way forward.

The head bone’s connected to the toe bone.
Turns out that silly song had a point.
Your body isn’t made of separate parts.
It’s one integrated system... connected by your nervous system.
That system runs through your spine.
When one part of your body is out of balance, the signal gets blocked.
Pain shows up.
Fatigue creeps in.
Digestion slows.
Sleep struggles.
Chiropractic care restores connection.
It helps your brain talk to your body the way it was designed to.
No interference. No confusion. Just clear communication.
When your spine is aligned, your body can work better.
That’s the science. And it’s why chiropractic care works.

Tired. Foggy. Off. Then... click. Relief.
That rush of relief you feel after an adjustment isn’t in your head.
It’s your nervous system finally getting a clear signal.
Here’s what happens:
• Tension releases
• Inflammation drops
• Nerve interference clears
• Brain and body start talking again
This isn’t magic. It’s the science of function.
When your spine is aligned, your nervous system can do its job.
And when that system runs well, everything improves... sleep, mood, digestion, focus, and energy.
You were built to function better.
We help remove what’s blocking it.

A patient said this recently after an adjustment... and it hit me.
This is why I do what I do.
This is why it matters.
Chiropractic care is more than relieving back pain.
It’s about giving people a better life.
Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually.
Helping someone move without pain.
Helping them sleep, focus, and feel present again.
Helping them reconnect to their body and feel peace.
That’s the work. That’s the mission.
And that one sentence made it all worth it.

She came to me in a wheelchair.
Now she walks freely.
first came to me dealing with pain, fatigue, brain fog, and constant dysregulation from POTS and dysautonomia. She couldn’t walk without support.
After one chiropractic adjustment, her body responded.
She walked.
Her pain dropped.
Her quality of life improved.
POTS is real. It’s frustrating. And for many, it feels invisible.
But when we support the nervous system, the body can function the way it was designed to.
You’re not broken. There is hope.
This month, we want to raise awareness for those still searching for answers.

Most people think they should skip the chiropractor when they’re sick.
That’s a mistake.
When you’re under the weather, your body needs every ounce of energy to fight.
But if your nervous system is stressed, your immune system can’t fire on all cylinders.
Here’s something to consider:
• Adjustments calm the nervous system.
• A calmer nervous system frees up resources for healing.
• Better nerve communication means a stronger immune response.
So instead of waiting it out…
Give your body the alignment it needs to do what it was created to do. Heal itself.
You don’t just have to endure being sick. You can support your body through it.
Book your next adjustment and let your body function and feel better.

Through my education as a doctor, I have been increasingly aware of how much good happens when a doctor and a patient are in a true partnership and how often that’s missing the mainstream medical model. Most patients feel like they’re being herded through a clinic with long wait times and a national average of 7 minutes to actually talk to their doctor. They leave with a script in their hands feeling used and stressed and wondering what just happened. Insurance and pharmacy-driven medicine has doctors, good and well-intentioned doctors, cramming people into their schedules trying to meet their overhead, fill their quotas, and just keep their doors open so they can help more people, perpetuating the cycle. The sad fact is that the system appears to be set up to charge the patient as much as possible for the shortest time possible to keep them on their medications for as long as possible.
If you take a look at it, are we spending more on healthcare or less? And, percentage-wise, are more people obese, diabetic, suffering from heart and cardiovascular disease, aches, pains, than 10 years ago or less? Are we hurting more or less? Are we on more medications or less? We are simply faced with a system that is set up beautifully for crisis care, but not for long-term health needs. It’s not designed to help you heal and get you off of your medications as soon as possible, but rather to “manage” disease and keep you on your prescriptions. If you are one of the lucky few to have a practitioner that helps you get off of as much medication as possible, praise the Lord and thank that doctor, physician’s assistant, or nurse profusely. They are doing exceptional work in a system that pays them to medicate their patients, not to set them free.
At Advocate Wellness, we believe in helping our practice members take charge of their health. That’s no easy task and so we partner with them, we support them, encourage them, help them build the tools and skills that they need and empower them with education, so that they can be truly free. Each of our practice members is unique, so our wellness programs are custom fit to each of them. What does freedom look like? For some people, freedom means losing that gut that they’ve been hauling around so they can look good on the beach, so they can smile when they see themselves in the mirror, and feel good about themselves and confident. For some people, freedom is being able to travel again with their spouse because they’re not on dialysis anymore. For others, freedom means not only spending time with the ones they love, but also being able to actually participate in life with their kids, their grandkids - going to their grandchild’s baseball game and hearing, “Who’s mom is that?” Being super mom, super dad, super grandpa, super grandma...
In order to help people reach that destination, in order to set our practice members free, we recognize that the current healthcare model, though filled with amazing, well-intentioned people, is not getting people well or keeping them well. We recognize that another approach is needed and so we deliver that unique approach - It starts because we care deeply and partner with our practice members to help them achieve that dream, to fulfill their bucket lists, or to live the last ten years of their lives actively and with great enjoyment instead of in pain, dysfunction, and probably in a “retirement” home. It continues as we empower our practice members to have leverage in their health, to work smarter, not harder - to avoid fads and lies that waste so much effort and destroy hope. It supports practice members by providing easy to understand, easy to follow step-by-step processes that make success achievable. It goes the extra mile by providing individualized coaching appointments, appointments that allow for a real conversation, for a healing relationship.
At Advocate Wellness, we aren’t just satisfied with the status quo and neither should you. In-the-box thinking isn’t getting it done. It’s time for a deeply caring, supportive, empowering out-of-the-box approach to help you reach the destination of your dreams.
If you would like to hear more about our unique approach, please call Christian at (817) 308-4837 and ask about coming to our next dinner talk! We are excited to meet you and to tell you more about how this could change your life.
