Great offering! Mammograms are highly valuable screening tools to rule in/out breast cancer or potential breast issues. If you have not received a Mammogram and you are age 40 and older, this would be a great opportunity to get yours complete! And if you are age 40-74 you should be screened biennially per the USPSTF guidelines. Women at high risk (BRCA1/BRCA2 mutations, significant family history, history of chest radiation, etc) you should see a healthcare provider for further testing and evaluation and you start annual Mammograms and MRIs around the age of 30, some at age 25. Breast Cancer Screening Save Lives! ❤️

New American Heart Association Guideline Changes. The first changes since 2020.

Key 2025 AHA Guidelines Updates:

-Choking Response (Adults & Children): The new recommendation is to alternate 5 back blows and 5 abdominal thrusts, rather than relying solely on abdominal thrusts.

-Choking Response (Infants): Utilize 5 back blows and 5 chest thrusts, avoiding abdominal thrusts.

-Opioid Overdose Management: New algorithms emphasize early recognition and administration of naloxone.

-Chain of Survival: A new, unified Chain of Survival now applies to both adult and pediatric patients in all settings, replacing separate chains.

-Infant CPR Technique: The two-finger technique is no longer recommended; use the two-thumbs-encircling hands technique or one-hand technique to ensure effective depth.

-Training & Community: Effective CPR and AED use can be taught to children as young as 12, with renewed efforts to increase public awareness and training.

-In-Hospital Preparedness: Increased use of safety huddles and formalized "hot" and "cold" debriefing to improve resuscitation outcomes.
