🚨 SHARE THE NEWS 📰

A 2023 human clinical study published in Skin Research and Technology evaluated red light therapy (photobiomodulation) for facial aging in 20 adults aged 45–70. Participants used a 633 nm red-light therapy session for 12 minutes, twice per week, over 3 months. Wrinkle changes were measured objectively using high-resolution skin imaging, focusing specifically on the deepest crow’s-feet wrinkle, not subjective photos or self-reports.

By day 84, the study recorded a 38.3% reduction in wrinkle depth, with early improvement already seen at 28 days (−15.6%). Measurements taken 14 and 28 days after stopping treatment showed the results were maintained, suggesting red light produced lasting structural skin changes, not a temporary cosmetic effect.
