We fog the main room and the children’s area once a day with a sanitizing agent, hypochlorous acid, (not to be confused with hydrochloric acid). We want to do our best to keep the spread of sickness to a minimum, while still using safe cleaning supplies. We still ask that you make us aware of any visible messes, wipe down equipment after each use, avoid bringing contagious children to childcare, etc. 🫶 Read below to learn more:
(HOCl) is a powerful, non-toxic, and eco-friendly disinfectant that is naturally produced by the white blood cells of mammals. Its strong oxidizing properties allow it to pe*****te and destroy pathogens like bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
Non-toxic: HOCl breaks down into simple saltwater after use, leaving no harmful chemical residue. It is safe for use around humans and animals and does not produce toxic fumes like bleach.
Gentle on skin and mucous membranes: Unlike many traditional disinfectants, HOCl is non-irritating and gentle. In medical settings, it is used for wound care, eye irritation, and dental applications.
Safe for food contact: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved HOCl as a no-rinse sanitizer for use on food products like meat, poultry, fish, fruits, and vegetables, as well as on food-contact surfaces.
Eco-friendly: Because it degrades into harmless saltwater, HOCl is a sustainable and environmentally responsible alternative to harsh chemical cleaners.
