It’s critical to know when "just feeling cold" turns into something more serious. Hypothermia occurs when your body loses heat faster than it can produce it. Here are the warning signs to watch for:

Shivering, exhaustion & drowsiness, confusion, fumbling items, memory loss, and slurred speech.

If you notice any of these signs:
♨️ Get to a warm, dry place.
🧦 Remove any wet clothing.
🧣 Focus on warming the center of the body (chest, neck, and groin).
🚑 Seek medical attention immediately.

Check on your friends, family, and neighbors and stay warm!

⚠ As the snow winds down and we all start the very long clean up process, remember to stay warm, stay hydrated, and don't over do it!! It will be very cold today, with "feel like" temps currently 0-10 F and maxing out in the teens this afternoon. Be safe out there ENC!

POV: You chose correctly. 🛋️
Roads are icy and unsafe. Driving today is a no. Staying home is a yes.

POV: Eligió correctamente. 🛋️
Las carreteras están heladas y peligrosas. Conducir hoy es un no. Quedarse en casa es un sí.
