When there is a sale like this, in the middle of winter - we STOCK UP and fill the freezer! 💚 I just tossed the whole bags of spinach in the freezer for now. We will use this and enjoy every bite in the weeks ahead. Sautéed on egg sandwiches, in casseroles, dips, and more!

🎨Watercolor Painting Class🎨

This past weekend we were blessed to teach a watercolor class to the residents at Sacred Heart. We painted heart balloons on cards for Valentine’s Day. They were so creative, and their artwork turned out beautifully too!

If you’d like us to come teach a painting class, please reach out. This was our first one, but it was so much fun! It would make a great activity for a birthday party, girls night, work event, etc. The possibilities are endless - we can’t wait to hear your ideas!

February is just around the corner. I’m sharing our tradition that we do in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day. It’s a fun way to love on our kids.

Starting February 1st when the kids go to bed, we add a note to their bedroom door. It’s just a simple sticky note with something we are proud of them for, things we love about them, what makes them special, etc. They wake up so excited each morning to see what the most recent note says. By Valentine’s Day they end up with 14 notes (in the shape of a heart of course).

Our kids appreciate these notes so much they typically stay up all year long. This is my daughter’s door - these notes are from last February. Soon we will take these down so we can decorate with new love notes. 💗

Give this a try - you’ll be glad you did. It brings so much love and joy to our family. You could write notes to your spouse as well.

SNACK STICKS

We filled the freezer with homemade snack sticks and they turned out amazing - if I do say so myself!

We cleaned the casings, mixed up ground version, pork, high temp cheese, and seasonings. Filled the casings, smoked them, and vacuum sealed them.

It was time consuming, but it was the perfect weekend to work together as a family on this project. Now we can enjoy a high protein snack, all year long!

Huge shout out to my husband who did most of the work, and just instructed us on what we could do to help.

I’m so thankful for this life we are choosing to live. I’m thankful for the opportunity to teach our children these lessons. Blessed to be able to share this journey with you all as well.
