📚🗳️ Election Day at APOT!
Today our team is spending the day learning and growing through continuing education — because investing in knowledge helps us better serve the children and families in our community. 💙

We also want to remind everyone to get out and VOTE! Your voice matters — and your vote helps support the children, schools, and communities we all care so deeply about. 🙌

🎃 🎶 “This is Halloween!” 🎶 👻
At APOT, we know Halloween is full of spooky fun, costumes, and sweet surprises — but it’s also packed with wonderful opportunities for motor and sensory development! 🧠💪

Here are some fun therapist-approved tips to help your little pumpkins enjoy the day:

🖐️ Fine Motor Fun:
• Encourage kids to open and close treat bags, unwrap candy, or peel stickers for decoration — great for finger strength and coordination!
• Try a pumpkin sticker scene or temporary tattoos for a calm, creative fine motor activity before trick-or-treating.

🏃‍♂️ Gross Motor Magic:
• Practice “Monster Walks,” “Spider Crawls,” or “Zombie Marches” before heading out — it’s a playful warm-up that builds balance and strength!
• Set up a mini obstacle course with pumpkins, buckets, or glow sticks to help burn energy before the sugar rush.

🌈 Sensory Smarts:
• Let your child explore costume textures beforehand — soft, scratchy, or squishy — so they’re comfortable on the big night.
• Bring noise-canceling headphones, a fidget toy, or add water bottles for a weighted treat bag if the environment feels overwhelming.

✨ From our APOT family to yours — we wish you a safe, happy, and sensory-friendly Halloween! 🕸️🍬🎃

📚✨ The new school year is here, and at APOT we’re filled with excitement for all the growth, learning, and possibilities ahead!

As we step into classrooms, therapy spaces, and homes this fall, we’re reminded that every student carries a unique story. That’s why we lead with compassion, understanding, patience, and trauma-informed care in everything we do. 💙

These values are at the heart of meaningful progress—because when children feel safe, supported, and seen, their true potential can shine. 🌟

Here’s to a school year filled with connection, resilience, and small victories that add up to something BIG. We’re honored to be on this journey with our students, families, and school partners.

👉 Cheers to a year of hope, healing, and growth!

✨ Exciting News! ✨

Miss Katie & Miss Bri, along with our amazing friends at Parent Network of WNY, were featured on Spectrum News Rochester for our Kindergarten Readiness Program!

🎉We’re so proud to share how this program helps kids build the skills they need for a confident start to school. 💙✏️📚

Check out the story below.

If you think your school or community program might be interested in your own Kindergarten Readiness program, just ask—we’d love to share more!

The Parent Network of WNY program lets kids get a taste of kindergarten: the noise, the new people, and the new structure.
