Yesterday was Veterans Day, and all week we’re celebrating the strength and service of veterans like Bill.

Bill served 12 years in the Army and spent his life caring for others. Now, with support from Acti-Kare and the VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide program, he’s found renewed independence and joy.

“People say I’m smiling more now,” Bill told us. “My doctor said I’d changed 110 percent.”

They saw first-hand what a thoughtful and compassionate group this community is—case managers, social workers, and discharge planners who care so deeply for patients and families.

It was a pleasure to share how Acti-Kare supports families with same-day assessments and staffing—no call centers, just our team here in the community.
