Back in 1997, when I was in massage school and living in Cambridge, I used to savor my rare weekends away visiting my sister in Kennebunk. She lived on Summer Street at that time, and we’d walk to dinner at Sam Buca’s (any old-timers remember that spot? It’s where 50 Local is now). I remember going to small-town events with her at Town Hall—like the fiddle contest. I loved city living, but in the back of my mind, I always thought… wouldn’t it be nice to have a massage office here someday?
Fast forward 14 years. Life worked itself out—after a few bumps in the road—and my sons and I landed in Kennebunk in 2010.
Having my massage practice here all these years has truly been a dream. I’ve met the most amazing people. The connection between a massage therapist and a client on the table is something sacred, and I am so grateful for every exchange I’ve had over the past 15 years.
But like Sam Buca’s, things change.
I’ll be closing my Maine office at the end of May. It’s bittersweet, but I’m excited to begin a new chapter and rebuild my practice on the New Hampshire seacoast, closer to my new home.
If you happen to still have a gift certificate, now is the time to reach out and schedule an appointment—though I don’t think there are many left out there!
I hope to have my new space up and running by early fall. Stay tuned here for updates if you’d like an excuse for a beautiful drive down the coast to New Hampshire in the future. I also have a few appointments available in the coming weeks if you would like to get in one more time in Kennebunk!
Thank you to everyone who has supported my business over the years. It has truly been an honor to work with each and every one of you.
