Powerback stands with clinicians and partners in advocating to maintain the flexibilities for telehealth services in PT, OT & SLP for Medicare beneficiaries. These flexibilities previously expired on September 30, 2025, due to congressional inaction. On November 12, 2025, the president signed a continuing resolution extending these telehealth flexibilities through January 30, 2026 and retroactively reinstating these waivers effective October 1, 2025. This extension maintains the elimination of geographic and originating site restrictions, as well as continued eligibility for PT, OT, and SLP providers to furnish telehealth services under Medicare.

For over 16 years, she has provided MDS education and guidance to help providers navigate regulatory changes and protect revenue. Pam earned her LPN in 1996 and RN in 2007 from Ivy Tech State College.

Al Schaefer, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of experience, holding a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Temple University. He currently serves as Senior Clinical Director at Powerback Rehabilitation, bringing 25 years of dedicated service to the organization. Al is NBCOT certified and an AOTA member.

Our Fine Motor Skills Toolbox is more than a therapy tool, it’s a bridge to the past. Designed to gently engage hands and minds, each item helps improve coordination while sparking memories of school days, favorite teachers, and the joy of learning.

This is called Reminiscence therapy which can be used for residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia to help spark, and restore memories.
