We started Halloween week off on Sunday with a Spooktacular piano recital from the students at . We enjoyed the fun costumes and beautiful music performed by students of all ages. They all did so well! Thank you to all of the students and Ms. Garin for spending their Sunday entertaining us!

According to Facebook, it's National Cat Day. That's OK - we'll let the cats have one day - but every day is dog day at the Legacy! Our sweet little Ambrosia (aka Ambie) is settling in so well, spreading smiles everywhere she goes.

We had a huge treat yesterday - our Employee Appreciation Committee ordered cookies from Easha’s Sweet Shoppe , and they were delicious! If the name Easha sounds familiar, it's because she's one of our Chefs at the Legacy. She baked the adorable cupcakes we had for our recent beach party, and she runs a home bakery in her spare time. We chose the pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting, peanut butter blossoms, and brown butter chocolate chip, but she has at least ten more flavors available, including cinnamon roll, peppermint white chocolate, and red velvet cheesecake... Every week in October, we've been having the Legacy Indoor Team Olympics! From Jenga and ring toss to competitive puzzle assembling and card games, everything is a little more fun when you're competing with a team!

We have exciting news! Once again, the Legacy will be participating in Trick or Treating during the Pleasant Prairie trick or treat hours on Sunday, October 26th. Trick or Treating will be open to the neighborhood and also kids (of all ages) of Legacy families, staff, and friends, past and present. Dress up in your spooky, funny, cute, or creative costume and help our residents enjoy the season!
A few notes - we know trick or treat lasts until 6 PM, but due to our residents dinner schedule, we ask that you try to come between 3-5. Trick or Treating will be in the lobby area only, where we'll have several treat (or trick!) stations set up. And of course, please don't come if you're feeling ill.
