Good morning!
I wanted to share a bit of news with you.

As I approach my tenth year of being a massage therapist, it makes me think more and more about my future. While I LOVE what I do, and never have plans to stop, I also know that my body has limits and I work hard at maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Fortunately, this is a field with endless possibilities and I’ve recently been given a new opportunity - teaching continuing education! I am not leaving my practice and will continue to massage as long as my body allows me to. This is simply another avenue that I can explore and will be an exciting new project!

Interested in what exactly this means? Read on!

Like many professions, massage therapists need to earn continuing education credits in order to renew their license. The credit hours can come in many different forms such as workshops, online courses, conferences, etc. The National Certification Board has approved me to create and teach courses using the knowledge I’ve gained over the past decade. I became interested in going through the approval process when I attended the International Massage Therapy Conference in May. I loved hearing from a variety of professionals in this industry who could share their insights and expertise. I’m so excited to start exploring this new opportunity while continuing to massage. That’s what has been, and always will be, my number one passion and priority.
