Kenosha County ADRC offers Memory Screens, every Monday. Memory screens provide relief for individuals concerned about normal memory loss, lead to diagnosis of treatable conditions and offer the ability to make lifestyle changes early when they have the greatest potential for positive effect and the opportunity to participate in making future decisions. Screening results are not a diagnosis, and individuals who have concerns are encouraged to pursue a full medical exam. Appointments available, Mondays, 8 a.m. - noon. Heavy snow days can be particularly difficult for older adults and those living with a disability who depend on in-home caregivers for daily needs. Please join the Kenosha County ADRC for a Memory Café on Tuesday, January 13, 1 - 2 p.m. Memory Café is a place for persons with Mild Cognitive Impairment, early-stage Alzheimer’s, or related dementia and their care partners to socialize and have fun. Memory Café meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Kenosha Neighborhood Southwest Library, 7979 38th Avenue. Call the ADRC's Dementia Care Specialist to register at 262-605-6646.

The ADRC offers a Family Caregiver Support Group on the first Thursday of every month. Do you set up medication, run errands, make meals, handle finances, or drive for an adult who isn’t able to do so anymore? This group is for you! Join fellow caregivers as you share your experiences, ask questions and learn something new. Facilitated by Margaret Ricchio, Caregiver Support Specialist. The group is offered in-person and virtually. Due to the holiday, the next group meets Thursday, January 8, 4-5 p.m., in-person and virtually. To register or learn more call the ADRC 262-605-6646.

Join the Caregiver Coffee Club! Fellow caregivers meet first Wednesday of every month, 10 - 11:30 a.m., to relax, chat, and learn something new.
