Be aware of this scam.

**SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE**

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind residents that **we will NEVER call you to request money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or any other form of payment**.

We’ve received reports of scammers impersonating KCSO personnel, using caller ID that appears to say "Kenosha County." These individuals are falsely claiming there is an outstanding warrant and are demanding payment in the form of **gift cards, large cash withdrawals, or cryptocurrency**, threatening arrest if payment is not made.

**This is a scam.**

* Hang up immediately.
* Do not provide money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or personal information.
* Law enforcement agencies do not handle warrants or fines this way.

If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate or have questions, please **contact the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office directly** using our official phone number.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this message with friends, family, and neighbors—especially those who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.

The ADRC offers a Family Caregiver Support Group on the first Thursday of every month. Do you set up medication, run errands, make meals, handle finances, or drive for an adult who isn’t able to do so anymore? This group is for you! Join fellow caregivers as you share your experiences, ask questions and learn something new. Facilitated by Margaret Ricchio, Caregiver Support Specialist.
