Happy Ribbon Cutting Day for my clinic! I'm very happy for the supporters that were able to come in person, and for the many many more supporters that weren't able to make it. There will be some pictures/video to come!

Join us for the official ribbon cutting of Enlightened Eye Care Thursday November 6th at Noon. The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting, and the event is open to anyone who wants to stop by and check out the clinic.

Mayor Bogdala’s office has the event on his schedule, so we’re hoping he’s able to join us as well.

And yes—there will be a fun thank-you treat for guests. Hint: it has something to do with my gummy bear Croc shoes. Come say hello, take a look around, and grab some goodies!

Long day, but worth it! I stopped by 16 optometry clinics around Kenosha to personally invite their doctors to my open house this weekend. My clinic can complement theirs by offering advanced diagnostic testing to their patients in a timely manner. And, their patients will always return to them for routine care and glasses!

👓 This awesome kid first met me at the Health & Home Expo earlier this year. His mom thought he was having some trouble seeing far away, so I did a quick screening and put together a temporary pair of glasses right there at the event. His smile while looking through those glasses was contagious! He didn't want to give the temporary glasses back! Later, he came in for a full eye exam where we made sure his eyes were healthy and got him his first real pair of glasses.

At Enlightened Eye Care, I love seeing kids like this, especially those who might feel overwhelmed in larger offices with multiple rooms, multiple staff, and long waits. My setup keeps things simple, calm, and personal so kids (and parents) can actually enjoy their visit. (Especially if they would feel more comfortable in a calm, sensory-friendly environment.)

A reminder for parents: even if your child says they see fine, it’s still important to have a comprehensive eye exam. Kids don’t always realize when their vision is blurry, and sometimes the most important part of the exam is checking that their eyes are healthy.

This is a great new coffee shop in downtown Kenosha (just south of the train station, next to the police station). Great decor, beautiful design, delicious coffee, and very friendly owners. They are worth giving a try!
