‘Tis the season

Once again this year we’re proud to team up with KUSD schools to raise meal boxes! 🎄☃️

With many families in our own community in need, we’re helping collect the following food items so that families are able to enjoy a holiday meal together. Meal boxes are boxes the National Honors Society puts together & delivers that contain all the food & drink items for a full holiday meal 🍽️.

Starting tomorrow, November 20th through December 16th we’re asking our patients to participate with us and bring in any of the ‘menu’ items listed below ⬇️

We were able to help put full holiday meals on the tables of 25 local families last year! Thank you so much for your support and generosity during the season of giving! 💚

But why❓The main reason nearly all Americans are Vitamin D deficient in the winter is because our skin is exposed to and absorbs less sunlight. Vitamin D is crucial for immune health, and without enough of it, the immune system may be less effective at defending the body against infections, which is particularly problematic in the colder months when cold and flu viruses are more common.

Here’s the good news ⬇️

1️⃣ Food such as salmon, tuna, milk, cheese, eggs, and mushrooms have high levels of Vitamin D. Make a habit of eating more of these foods!

2️⃣ We offer Vitamin D3 supplements in office! We sell both 1 month + 2 month supplies ☀️
