18-Year-Old Racine Man Killed in Overnight Shooting

An 18-year-old Racine man is dead following a shooting early Tuesday morning on the city’s north side.

According to the Racine Police Department, officers responded at approximately 1:00 a.m. on March 10, 2026, to the 3200 block of Republic Avenue for a report of shots fired and people yelling.

When officers arrived, they located an 18-year-old male from Racine suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Officers immediately began providing medical aid until Racine Fire Department rescue personnel arrived and took over care. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased from his injuries.

Preliminary investigative efforts indicate the shooting appears to be the result of an isolated incident, according to police.

The Racine Police Department continues to investigate the homicide and is asking for the public’s help.

Person of Interest Sought – Death Investigation
Kenosha, WI — On Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:06 a.m., officers with the Kenosha Police Department responded to the 6100 block of 75th Street for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers located a 67-year-old male deceased at a residence.
Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Matrice Role, a Kenosha resident and an acquaintance of the deceased. Role is described as a 45-year-old female with a darker complexion, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators believe Matrice Role may still be in Kenosha or a nearby community. If you observe her in person, please call 911 immediately.
