Therapy Success Story 💪
Susan was admitted to Tamarack Ridge on hospice services focused on comfort, requiring maximum assistance with her activities of daily living. At the time of admission, she was experiencing weight loss, struggling with memory, and spoke very little, often weighed down by depression and anxiety. Her strength and endurance were so limited that she could only tolerate a few minutes of therapy at a time before electing hospice services.
With the support of Tamarack's compassionate care team, Susan gradually began to show meaningful improvements. Her appetite returned, her alertness increased, and her personality began to reemerge through warm smiles and engaging conversations.
Over time, Susan made such significant progress that she graduated from hospice and began therapy to further strengthen her physical abilities. Through determination and consistent participation in therapy, she regained strength and mobility, ultimately achieving the ability to walk with a walker.
Susan's journey is a beautiful testament to her resilience and renewed independence, as well as the collaborative dedication of Tamarack Ridge's therapy and clinical teams, whose personalized, compassionate care helped her reach this remarkable milestone.
Congratulations, Susan! Your Tamarack family is beyond proud of you and your renewed independence.
