Did you know that hard water is a challenge for many in our industry?
Excessive hardness can cause mineral deposits to form in pipes, sinks, buckets and vases. It is often associated with high alkalinity which can inhibit the ability of flower foods to lower pH of bucket and vase solution to the optimum range for cut flowers.

5 flowers in my prom arsenal (+ a bonus I bet you won’t guess!!) Swipe to see where we line up - and drop what I forgot to include in the comments 😉

● Faux hydrangea blooms - Easy to tint, can individual place as a “leaf” alternative or a backer for fresh flowers
● Craspedia - Fun texture, easy to color enhance or cover with glitter, can be cut in half
● White micro daisies - Black centers coordinate with black tuxes, great to color enhance for unusual colors, petite size
● Green trick dianthus - Good “base” flower to glue into - or can be pieced apart into tiny insertions to cover mechanics or “glue oops”
● Hypericum berries - Take metallic paint well, great size to break up larger headed blooms, strung on wire, or to add as a 3D element

❗Bonus: Tree Fern - Takes all types of Design Master spray paint well and the paint prevents mess - pull it apart and it creates elongated feather-like insertions for a soft, airy look

Would I personally choose teal, pink and glitter? No. 😂 Would I make it look amazing anyway? Absolutely!

This tree fern hack is one of my favorite cost-effective tricks for prom bouquets - fast, textural, and it works with basically any color palette. More prom tips dropping all month!
