Today is Children’s Grief Awareness Day. Being involved in the funeral experience can help children further understand death, grief, and the importance of honoring someone’s life. Some of the meaningful ways children can be involved in the process include picking photos for the tribute video, writing or drawing something to put inside the casket, choosing special readings or poems for the service, sharing memories with guests, or being a greeter at the visitation.
