Russell Crowe, Belinda Carlisle and Chris Evans talk holistic medicine in a brief, but positive discussion on BBC Radio 2:

During their conversation they all mentioned complementary therapies they had tried, including acupuncture and homeopathy.

Chris Evans queried why scientists denied that nothing about homeopathy was possible and had never been proved scientifically to work, to which Belinda said; "It does work, its undeniable."

Chris seemed to think that if people say it works, that was proof enough, and asked why we can't prove it so that the disbelievers might have a go.

Belinda Carlisle clinched it by saying; "I think that you have to try it to believe it. It is powerful and it does work. So ... just to try it."

After our recent post on Arnica, Sally shared her experience of using the remedy: "I give an Arnica pillule to new baby calves that I buy, (to raise), from the dairies in our district. They're taken away from their mothers so early, poor little things. Every calf used to get scours at some time during their first month with us, but since using the Arnica I don't have any calves with scours. It's proven to me that it reduces the effects of the shock of being moved & taken from their mothers. One pillule into the mouth before putting into the trailer for the short ride home, then another later in the evening after their feed of milk & tucking in for the night. I wouldn't be without it for our human use for recovery, shock etc."

Sara K tells us how homeopathy helped her:

’Depression and anxiety previously successfully treated by homeopathy. Had post natal depression after both my babies. I used homeopathy after my first baby but did not have access to a homeopath, as we were overseas, so prescribed for myself. It helped but not as quickly as it did following the next bout after my second baby. I was not a homeopath and hadn't learned the art!
