🎄❄️ December 13 – National Cocoa Day ❄️🎄

There’s something magical about cocoa. It’s more than a drink—it’s a hug in a cup, a memory of snow days and cozy nights, a sweet pause in the middle of the holiday rush.

Whether you love it rich and creamy, topped with marshmallows, or spiced with peppermint, today is the perfect excuse to indulge.

So light a candle, grab a blanket, and sip slowly. Let the warmth remind you that joy can be simple, and sweetness can be shared.

As our winter weather is in full swing this week, we would like all our neighbors to be safe this holiday season. Here are some great tips courtesy of Kentwood Police Department

🚓❄ Winter Preparation & Safe Driving Tips from Kentwood PD ❄🚓
Winter weather is here, and a little preparation goes a long way in keeping you safe on the road. Before you head out, remember these important tips:

✅ Prepare your vehicle: Make sure your lights, brakes, tires, windshield wipers, and battery are in good working condition.
✅ Carry emergency supplies: Keep warm clothes, blankets, water, non-perishable food, a flashlight, first aid kit, shovel, and other essentials in your vehicle.
✅ Check your fuel: Keep at least half a tank of gas at all times.
✅ Drive slowly: Snow and ice reduce traction, slow down and leave extra space between vehicles.
✅ Accelerate & decelerate slowly: Gentle movements help prevent skidding.
✅ Turn on your headlights so others can see you.
✅ Clear all windows, lights, and your license plate before driving.
✅ Remove distractions: Do not use handheld devices while driving.
✅ Buckle up: Always wear your seatbelt.

November is National Gratitude Month—a time to recognize the power of thankfulness.

At Ofield Funeral Home, we believe gratitude is more than a feeling; it is a way of honoring life, legacy, and the people who walk beside us. Whether it’s the gentle care of a hospice worker, the support of a neighbor, or the love of family, gratitude helps us find peace and strength in every season.

This month, we extend heartfelt thanks to the families we serve, the caregivers who give tirelessly, and the community that surrounds us with compassion. May gratitude remind us all that even in moments of sorrow, love continues to shine. 🌟
