The holidays can be a difficult time when someone we love has passed. We invite you to join us for our holiday remembrance service as we honor the friends and family members our communities have lost this year. All are welcome to attend this service at our Keokuk location at 917 Blondeau St. in Keokuk, Iowa this Thursday, December 18 at 5 PM. If we served your family in 2025 at any of our four locations, including Carthage, Hamilton, Warsaw, or Keokuk, your loved one’s name will be read. If you have a loved one that passed away in previous years or that had services elsewhere, please contact us at 319-524-2340 and your loved one's name will be added to the list read out loud.
After our service, cookies and punch will be provided and families we have served this year will receive a personalized ornament of their loved one. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Hope to see you Thursday evening.

We need your help! Wreaths will be laid at Keokuk National Cemetery on Friday, December 12th, 2025, starting at 9 am for Wreathes Across America. Please meet at the new administration office if you are able to assist in placement of wreaths. Thank you for your continued support of our veterans and our community.

Funeral directors come in many shapes and sizes, but most of us share the sentiment that life should be lived to the fullest. Although our profession may seem strange or "creepy" from the outside, it actually encourages us to love big, have compassion for others and treat every day as a gift.

There are entirely too many incorrect and off-base stereotypes about funeral directors that have been reinforced by misrepresentations in film and TV. One of the worst offenders is the characterization of morticians as creepy, morose, or gothic. This depiction could not be further from the truth.

If you’re trying to find a funeral director in a crowd, don’t start looking in the shadows. The reality is, most funeral professionals have very animated and spirited personalities. Their unpredictable schedule usually has insanely long hours, so when they are outside of funeral home they are likely to be having fun, laughing and living it up.
