Today we recognize National Blue Out Day as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month. đź’™

Van Buren County Hospital (VBCH) stands with our community in raising awareness about child abuse and the importance of protecting our children. By wearing blue, we show our commitment to creating safe, supportive environments where every child can grow, thrive, and feel secure.

Prevention starts with all of us—by staying informed, supporting families, and speaking up when something doesn’t seem right.

Together, we can make a difference. đź’™

We were honored to welcome Senator Grassley to VBCH as part of his 99 County Tour!

During his visit, we had the opportunity to showcase our new in-house radiology equipment and give an inside look at our newly updated Emergency Department—both key investments in improving care for our community. We shared with him the expansion of services, community partners supporting health, we discussed housing needs, childcare and the grant funds that VBCH has been grateful recipients of.

We also appreciated the conversation around important legislation, including updates on Medicaid funding and the Farm Bill, and how these impact rural healthcare.

Thank you, Senator Grassley, for taking the time to visit, listen, and support rural communities like ours!
