🌳✨ Branches & Beats ✨🌳
JeMLab is back with our first ecstatic dance of the season.
From the roots of the earth to the open sky,
from pulse to prayer,
from water rising to rain returning. 🌊🌧️

On Hoshanah Rabbah, tradition teaches that the gates are open.
Let’s enter together—
through dance, through joy, through the flow of spirit and song.
📅 Sunday, October 12
🕢 7:30pm doors | 8pm ritual
📍 Kane Street Synagogue
This is joy. This is flow. This is rain. 🌿🔥

We’re still radiating from the magic of our summer retreat last weekend in the Hudson Valleys. 21 people from multiple states and 2 countries, joined to embody the power of the elements and connect in our exploration of Jewish wisdom and the body.

We want to share some of that magic with you. At the link in our bio you’ll find a link to the DJ set from last Friday’s ecstatic dance into Shabbat. Our Kabbalat Shabbat intention was to embody water.

Give it a listen and let us know, how does water flow in your body?

What happens when you take a holiday known for drunken revelry and masks, and search for its spiritual depth? On retreat we explored this question together.

I discovered something radical: our constant longing to be someone else is often one of our greatest obstacles. Guided by the profound teachings of Rabbi Shagar, we spent four days exploring how our attachment to an idealized self keeps us from true joy.

In a world that feels increasingly dark, how do we find joy? How do we hold both the darkness and the light? And how do we dance with it?
