I recently had the opportunity to speak with 88.5 WFDD about how parents, caregivers, and educators can support children after the incident at North Forsyth. These conversations are difficult but essential, and our young people deserve honest, steady guidance when their sense of safety is shaken.
I was invited into this conversation through my role as a representative of Triad Restorative Justice, where I proudly serve on the board. TRJ is committed to building safer, more connected communities, and this interview reflects that mission, creating space for healing, dialogue, and emotional support during moments that impact us all.
Sharing the interview below for anyone who may need help navigating conversations about violence, safety, and emotional regulation with the children in their lives. I hope it’s useful to families, schools, and our wider community. You can also catch the interview tomorrow on 88.5 WFDD
