🌟 Patient Testimonial

Gary Duke - Tarpley, TX

In 2021, Mr. Duke was involved in a serious auto accident that changed everything.

He underwent numerous surgeries, and at one point, doctors weren’t sure if he would survive - let alone walk again.

But Gary didn’t give up. Living out in the country, access to care could have been a challenge. That’s where home health made all the difference. Our team was able to come directly to him - providing the nursing and therapy he needed at home. 🏡

Today, Gary is in a wheelchair, but thanks to his determination and the progress he’s made in therapy, he is now able to walk with the assistance of crutches - a milestone that once seemed out of reach. 👏

Step by step, visit by visit, he continues to push forward. His progress has been nothing short of remarkable - so much that even his doctors are astonished by how far he’s come.

We’re proud of Mr. Duke and honored to be a part of his journey. 💛

** WINTER STORM UPDATE - SUNDAY AM**

Update on road closures and conditions - Interstate 10 from Mt. Home to Junction is closed. Other roads in our area are icy after last night's additional sleet/rain/snow mix. Roads are very treacherous right now and temperatures are not going to break above freezing today or tonight. Our friends at City of Kerrville - Police Department reported earlier that city streets are heavily iced over.

If you must venture out - go with an emergency kit in your vehicle. Include blankets, a way to stay warm, battery packs for charging your phone, water, and food. A glaze of ice + Hill Country hills are not a good combination for you, your vehicle, or our first responders. Please stay home and stay safe. Dangerous cold remains across the area with single digit wind chills.

The warming shelter at Calvary Temple Church, 3000 Loop 534 remains open for those without heat and the unhoused. Kenneled, well behaved pets are also welcome at this location.

The power grid has capacity well above demand right now, and we've seen very few outages across our area. Hat tip to our friends at KPUB, CTEC, PEC, and BEC for their work to keep services active. To see official and up-to-date grid and outage information, see our previous post.
