I have wonderful news to share with you — my tumors have shrunk by 50–60%! This is a huge step forward, and I’m deeply grateful for the progress and for all of your kind thoughts, prayers, and patience during this time.
My next step is to continue the healing process and knock this cancer out 100%. I’ll be staying in California for about six more weeks to continue the insulin-potentiated low-dose chemotherapy treatments.
This therapy works beautifully because most cancer cells rely heavily on glucose for energy. By giving insulin, we lower blood sugar and make those cancer cells hungry and eager for fuel — and then, when the chemotherapy is administered, they absorb it right up. (Ha! Suckers, take that!) I only need 10 - 15% of the normal dose of chemo to get this effect, so way fewer side effects.
I receive chemotherapy with insulin once a week, and on the other days, I’m getting various IVs made up of natural substances that target cancer cells and support healthy gene expression. Next week, I’ll also begin Brachytherapy, where tiny beads of radiation are placed directly into the tumor — a very effective way to eliminate any remaining cancer cells.
If all goes as planned, I’ll be returning home in time for the holidays — something I’m really looking forward to.
Thank you again for your continued support, understanding, and kindness. Your trust means the world to me, and I can’t wait to be back in the office soon, doing what I love most — helping you all on your own paths to health and healing.
With gratitude and love,
Dr. Maria Maricich
