🌟 Behind Every Call Is a Caring, Trained Volunteer 🌟
At The Crisis Hotline, our volunteer responders go through in-depth, compassionate training so they’re ready to listen, support, and walk alongside people in their hardest moments. This training isn’t just about answering phones — it’s about learning how to truly hear someone, validate their feelings, and help them feel less alone.
One of our volunteers shared this powerful reflection:
“This opened my eyes to small but important things. I want to be that person to thoughtfully validate someone who is struggling… the person I wish was there for me.”
These are the kinds of hearts that make our hotline a lifeline for so many in our community.
✨ If you are interested in learning these skills, building meaningful connections, and making a real difference in people’s lives, we would love to hear from you!

Together, we can make sure no one has to face their hardest moments alone. 💙

January is Mental Wellness Month 🌱

A new year doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out.
January is a time to slow down, check in with yourself, and focus on what truly supports your mental and emotional well-being.

Mental wellness looks different for everyone. It might mean setting gentle boundaries, reaching out for support, getting more rest, or simply giving yourself permission to feel exactly how you feel.

If you’re struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or just need someone to listen, you don’t have to go through it alone.

📞 Call The Crisis Hotline 24/7 at 208-788-3596
📱 Or call/text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline

Support is always available — day or night.
This January, let’s make mental wellness a priority.

This New Year, let’s make space for mental health in our resolutions. 💛
So often, New Year’s resolutions focus on fixing ourselves — losing weight, being more productive, doing more. But what if this year, your resolutions centered on caring for yourself instead?
Maybe that looks like:
✨ Prioritizing rest
✨ Setting healthier boundaries
✨ Reaching out when things feel overwhelming
✨ Giving yourself grace on hard days
Your mental health matters just as much as any other goal you set.
📞Call 24/7 208-788-3596 or the National Line Call/Text "988"— you’re never alone, and support is just a moment away.

✨ Holiday Mental Health Recipe ✨🧠
Serves: You (and anyone who needs a little extra care this season)
Prep Time: Ongoing
Difficulty: Be gentle with yourself
🧺 Ingredients
• 2 cups of realistic expectations
• 1 generous scoop of rest
• A pinch of boundaries
• 3 tablespoons of self-compassion
• A handful of connection (friends, chosen family, community)
• Optional: movement, fresh air, journaling, or creativity
• Emergency substitute: reaching out for support
🥣 Instructions
1. Lower the heat on perfection.
Holidays don’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful. Good enough is more than enough.
2. Stir in rest wherever you can.
Short naps, quiet moments, or stepping outside for a few breaths all count.
3. Season with boundaries.
It’s okay to say no, leave early, or protect your energy—even with people you love.
4. Fold in connection slowly.
Reach out to someone you trust, attend a community event, or check in with yourself.
5. Taste and adjust with self-compassion.
Some days will feel heavier than others. That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
6. If things feel overwhelming, don’t cook alone.
Support is always an option

✨ National Day of Neutrality ✨
Today is a reminder of the power of pausing, listening, and holding space without judgment. In a world full of strong opinions and constant noise, choosing neutrality can be an act of compassion.
Neutrality doesn’t mean indifference — it means creating room for understanding, clarity, and calm. It allows us to support others without pressure, assumptions, or taking sides.
Whether you’re mediating a conflict, supporting a friend, or simply navigating your own emotions, taking a neutral stance can open the door to healthier conversations and deeper connection. 💛
And remember: if you or someone you know is struggling or overwhelmed, The Crisis Hotline is here 24/7.
📞 Call 24/7 208-788-3596 or the National Line Call/Text "988"— you’re never alone, and support is just a moment away.
Let’s use today to slow down, listen with empathy, and lead with kindness. 🌿

🌨️ December is Seasonal Affective Disorder Awareness Month 🌨️
Shorter days and colder weather can make this time of year feel heavier than usual. If you’ve noticed your energy dipping, your mood shifting, or everyday tasks feeling harder, you’re not alone. Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real and common mental health challenge — and it’s okay to ask for help.
✨ What can help?
• Getting outside for brief daylight
• Light therapy or warmth from cozy spaces
• Moving your body at your own pace
• Reaching out to someone you trust
• Naming how you’re feeling — even when it’s hard
Most importantly: you don’t have to navigate this season alone.
If you or someone you love needs support, someone is always ready to listen.
📞 Call 24/7 208-788-3596 or the National Line Call/Text "988"
You’ll reach trained crisis counselors who are here to help, day or night.
Let’s check in on one another, normalize these feelings, and remind our community that support is always within reach. 💙

Finding Balance This Holiday Season

The holidays can bring joy—but also stress, pressure, or loneliness. It’s okay to feel all of it. Here are a few ways to stay grounded and emotionally safe this season

1. Set realistic expectations – Focus on what truly matters: connection, kindness, and meaning.
2. Acknowledge your feelings – It’s okay to not feel okay. You’re not alone.
3. Keep healthy routines – Rest, move, and nourish yourself.
4. Plan for emotional safety – Know your limits and have a support plan if things get tense.
5. Give back or reach out – Acts of kindness help everyone heal, including you.

If the holidays feel heavy, reach out.
