We’re excited to welcome Coach Megan .meg as our newest Athlete Collaborator 💪
Read below to hear more about her journey. ⬇️
What got you into lifting?
I’ve always had issues with body image and self esteem, I was never happy with how I looked and it caused a lot of mental struggles for me for a really long time. Between 2018-2020 I had started thinking about getting started in the gym and was wanting to go, but didn’t have the confidence to do so. In 2021 I decided that I was ready to take the first step and begin my fitness journey. I followed my own training plan for a couple years and saw great results. I began following female bodybuilders on social media, listening to bodybuilding podcasts, and getting super into bodybuilding media. I admired their physiques and discipline, and decided I wanted to see if I had what it took to compete. In 2023, I decided to take that extra step and hire my coach, Megan Lewis, with the goal of competing in my first show.
What keeps you going? What’s your “why”?
Feeling good. Mentally, physically, spiritually. Bodybuilding is a safe space for me. It’s helped me create a physique I love after being so unhappy with myself for years and years. I’ve always struggled with my mental health, but after finding bodybuilding, I know that I have something I can lean on for support during hard times. If I’m having a rough mental day, I know that I can go in the gym and come out feeling like myself again.
What are your current goals?
My current goals are to become a full-time online fitness coach, for lifestyle and competition, to become an IFBB pro ( 🤭), and to build my social media presence to reach as many women as possible.
What makes you different from other athletes?
My ability to relate to others and their struggles, my relentless determination in pursuit of my goals, and my respect for other athletes.
3 words to describe yourself:
Determined, empathetic, confident
What do you want to be known for outside of your sport?
Spreading kindness and positivity, helping people become the best version of themselves
