We have had a SPOOKtacular time during the month of October at The Carlyle House. The staff decorated pumpkins that residents got to judge, participated in "Spirit Week", dressing in a different theme every day, and ended with a Halloween Happy Hour for our residents.

The staff had another fun pumpkin decorating contest this year. Thank you to all who participated and to all who voted online and in-person.

The very creative Carlyle House staff is having a pumpkin decorating contest.
Rules: 1. Each person (staff, family member, or resident) can vote only ONCE.
2. Staff are not permitted to rally family members or friends to vote for their pumpkin.
3. To vote online, please enter the number (1-15) assigned to the pumpkin you choose.
4. The contest voting will end this coming 8:00 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2025

Our residents enjoyed a trip to Carillon Historical Park Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The weather was perfect and a good time was had by all!

Welcome, October! Our residents celebrated Oktoberfest during this Friday's Happy Hour. We had Reuben Dip with bread and crackers and pretzel bites with cheese deep as well as ROOT BEER!

Our residents enjoyed the beautiful weather today out in the arboretum, which was made even more special by the visit from friendly goats!

This week is National Assisted Living Week. The theme for the week is "Ageless Adventure," which focuses on the inherent desire for experience and adventure at any stage of life and how assisted living supports these pursuits. As you can see in the photos below, our directors are always up for fun experiences and working with them is always an adventure! Becky and Holly have lots of fun and appreciation events in store for the staff this week!

Happy Grandparents' Day! The Carlyle House is privileged to be home to not only grandparents, but some great-grandparents as well!

Our residents, their families, and some of the staff enjoyed watching the Kettering parade from the front patio. Afterwards, we enjoyed a BBQ lunch in the arboretum. Everyone had a wonderful time!
