👋 Meet Kait McGough, DNP, APRN – the newest friendly face to join OSF Medical Group in Kewanee!

A Mission Partner since 2016, Kait has experience in a variety of care settings, most recently serving families at OSF Medical Group in Galesburg. She now brings her compassion, skill and a true passion for whole-person care to Kewanee. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specializing in family medicine, she loves caring for people of all ages – from newborns to older adults – and believes every person deserves to feel heard, valued and supported in their health journey.

💬"I love collaborating with each unique individual and family to develop a personalized plan of care that fits their one-of-a-kind needs. It is my greatest joy to provide excellent care to each and every person I meet!"

She’s especially excited to bring her love for pediatric and lactation care to the Kewanee community as she prepares to become an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). 👩‍🍼👶 Kait is also expanding access to in-office procedures, offering joint and trigger point injections, skin biopsies and excisions, ingrown and full plate toenail removals, infant tongue and lip tie revisions, and more – all close to home. She describes family medicine as “less of a job and more of a calling,” and her warm, family-centered approach reflects the OSF Mission to serve with the greatest care and love.

For Kait, family is everything. "My husband, Stephen, and I have been married for over 11 years and have four wonderful kids – Melody, Lily, Samuel and Mercy. When we’re not at work or school, you’ll find us outside, swimming, gardening, playing board games (Trash Dice is our favorite!), or enjoying ice cream together." 🫶

✨ A Few Fun Facts: Kait loves to travel and has explored places like Mexico, Jamaica, El Salvador, Israel and Turkey—with many more on her list! She's also a published author in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for her 2021 literature review on screen time and its effect on the growing pediatric mind.
