💚 Spotlight: Britta Marty, DNP
Meet Britta Marty, Director of Nursing Operations at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, OSF Holy Family Medical Center and OSF Saint Luke
🕊️ Britta has been part of OSF HealthCare for 12 years, bringing dedication, leadership and compassion to every role she’s held.
💬 “Honestly, my favorite part is the people – getting to interact with patients and visitors is really the reason I chose health care,” said Britta. “I also like the operations side, figuring out how to make things run smoother so our nurses are supported and patients get the best care.”
💖 When asked what serving with the greatest care and love means to her, Britta shared:
“To me, it means treating every patient, visitor, and Mission Partner as if they were my own family. It’s about going beyond the task – really listening, showing compassion and making people feel seen and valued. On the operations side, it means building systems that help nurses give their best care, so patients feel that love in every interaction.”
🌟 Fun facts about Britta:
The majority of her OSF career has been in Peoria, where she served as a Ministry ICU float nurse before moving into leadership as a Ministry Operations Supervisor and later as Nursing Manager at OSF Holy Family. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and has a strong passion for rural health and supporting high-quality, compassionate care across the OSF West Central Region.
One of Britta’s proudest honors was receiving the Exemplary Professional Practice Award during the pandemic – a recognition made even more meaningful because she was nominated by a patient she cared for at OSF St. Mary.
🏈 Outside of work, Britta and her husband, Cole, are blessed with four busy children and love cheering them on in all their sporting events!
We’re grateful for Britta’s leadership, compassion and commitment to serving with the greatest care and love. 💜
