Honoring Our Veterans

Yesterday, we stopped by our local VA to drop off donuts and cider as a small token of appreciation for our veterans. It was a pleasure getting to visit and say hello to our recruiting officers while expressing our gratitude in person.

To all our veterans and those currently serving — thank you for your dedication, courage, and sacrifice. We honor you today and every day.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Celebration at Arcadia Care at Kewanee 🇺🇸

Today we proudly celebrated our Veterans Day Celebration, honoring the heroes who have served our country. We recognized our veteran residents, our dedicated veteran nurse Julie Windsor, and our special guest veteran Katherine Humphrey, who graciously pinned each veteran during the ceremony.

A heartfelt thank you to Meghan from Traditions Hospice for organizing and leading such a meaningful event. Your time, effort, and compassion helped make this ceremony truly special for our veterans and community.

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with gratitude, pride, and reflection. We thank each of our veterans for their courage and service — you are our heroes every day.

Giving Back to Our Community!

Today, The Villas at Kewanee hosted our Baked Potato & Chili Fundraiser, and it was a huge success! With the remaining meals, our team made special deliveries to the Kewanee Police and Fire Departments as a small way to say thank you for all they do to serve and protect our community.

We’re so grateful for everyone who supported this fundraiser — your kindness helps us spread warmth and appreciation throughout Kewanee!

Inspiring the Next Generation of Healthcare Heroes!

Today, Marketers from Arcadia Care had the pleasure of meeting with 1st- and 2nd-year nursing students and CNAs at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg!

We had great conversations about future career goals in healthcare and shared why working for Arcadia Care is such a rewarding experience.

A huge thank-you to Scooters of Galesburg for generously donating coffee for the students — it gave everyone that perfect extra boost of caffeine and energy for the day!

Trunk or Treat Fun Across Our Communities!

The Villas at Kewanee, The Gardens at Kewanee, and The Avenues at Royal Oaks had a spooktacular time hosting our Trunk or Treat event!

Residents, staff, and families came together to hand out candy, enjoy the creative costumes, and share plenty of laughs and smiles.

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us — your participation and community spirit made this Halloween celebration extra special!

Arcadia Care at Kewanee dropped off a basket of goodies to our amazing Kewanee Fire Department, what a great group of men! We truly appreciate everything you do to keep our community safe each and every day.

A special thank-you to Captain Stout for welcoming us in and giving us a little peek into a firefighter’s world while on duty. Your dedication and service mean so much!

Movie & Luncheon Fun!

We had such a great time joining our friends at the Fondulac Park District Senior Center for a movie and luncheon!

It was wonderful connecting with everyone, sharing laughs, and talking about all the great things happening with Arcadia Care. Thank you to everyone who came out — we can’t wait to visit again soon!

Happy Friday with Our Kewanee Seniors!

Brandie Swanson and I stopped by with some snacks and offered free blood pressure checks — and of course, shared plenty of laughs with this fun group!

We almost stayed for B-I-N-G-O, but promised we’ll join in next month!

Always such a joy spending time with our seniors at the Henry County Senior Center!
