We welcome you to join us at The Reiki Open House - a time when both those already attuned to the Reiki healing art as well as those new to this miraculous practice can come together to receive a special treatment, ask questions, and share Reiki experiences with one another.
What is Reiki?
Reiki (Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. Reiki, an ancient Tibetan healing art, embodies the wisdom of the Buddhist Sanskrit teachings for healing the body, the mind, and the spirit. Reiki reawakens each of us at the deepest cellular level to our individual "blueprints" of wellbeing: physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. Reiki removes the manifestations of "disease"allowing the body to reestablish its natural balance and health.
The "physical" practie of Reiki occurs through the practicioner's use of specific hand positions on or over or even from a distance of the receiver's body. The actual bodily sensation of the warmth of the "Divine Light" of healing is one of the greatest "tactile" gifts of Reiki.
Katie Adams:
Katie Adams is a Reiki Master in the Usui Tradition of Natural Healing. As a Reiki Master for the past 20 years, Katie has shared Reiki healing sessions and certified initation classes with individuals and groups as well as distance healings in both Europe and the U.S.
