Sunday Presentation Our Spiritually Illiterate society:
Foregive: 10 yr old Eva Kor, arrives at ‘Auschwitz Death Camp’ with twin sister. Mengele picks them out of the line - he likes to torture and kill children under the guise of science. He gave her a very painful injection then said to his assistant “She’ll be dead within a week.” Eva knew when she died they would kill her sister and it would be [comparative] autopsy side by side. She decided not to die! Later she writes a book “Forgiving Mengele” -
“it creates controversy”!!!
FEW understand ‘forgive’. Mark Twain: “Forgiveness is the scent, the flower leaves on the boot heel, that crushes it.” Mengele after the war lived comfortably into old age. Eva could have dedicated her life to finding him - but Elie Wiesel was doing that - so she went on with her life. When his soul is judged @ death - fore- give [give to future] = means she will be there!
