Born and raised in Key West Florida, Captain John is a 5th generation native (Conch), and a 2nd generation firefighter. Having enjoyed fishing as a hobby for a very long time, John became a professional captain in 2008 and has been running charters ever since, opening his own fishing charter business in September 2018. Captain John says the best part of being a fishing charter Captain is spending time with people, and sharing his passion of fishing with others, as a natural fisherman, Captain John can’t wait to share his fishing passion with you. ​​​​​​​​​

Monday we ran 40 miles west on a full-day adventure, and adventure it was. We could not stay off the Yellowtails, Mackerels, Bonita’s, Mangrove Snappers and Sharks. We even hooked this behemoth of a Barracuda which made multiple blistering runs before being eaten by sharks, it is by far one of the largest Barracuda’s I’ve seen or hooked as you can see pictured is the head which looks to be as big as a normal size Barracuda, the Black Groupers gave us the slip today but the action was fun for all.

A 4-hour trip Tuesday afternoon. We fished the reef close to home catching our limit of Mangrove Snapper and some bonus Yellowtails. We capped the day off with a large sand bar shark and lemon who were released safely back into the ocean. This 24” Mangrove Snapper sure got the boat fired up as they only have to be 10” in length to legally harvest and this guy was a bruiser
