🚑❤️ A heartfelt thank you to Chord Energy for thinking of our team here at Killdeer Area Ambulance! The snacks and support you provided mean more than you know. In EMS, long shifts and late nights are part of the job, and having a little extra fuel helps us stay ready for every call that comes our way.

We’re so grateful to be part of a community where businesses and neighbors come together to support one another. Your generosity doesn’t just keep us going — it reminds us that we’re not in this alone. From all of us at Killdeer Area Ambulance, thank you ! 🙌💪

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 – We Remember 🇺🇸

Today, we join our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost and the bravery shown on 9/11.

As neighbors, friends, and first responders, we are reminded of the strength that comes when communities come together in the face of tragedy. The unity shown then continues to inspire us in the work we do here at home.

May we always honor, remember, and stand together.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can enroll in the course?
A: Anyone 16 years or older by the start of the course. No prior medical experience is required.

Q: What is included in the tuition?
A: All books, online resources, learning materials, and course-related fees. No hidden costs!

Q: How is the “hybrid” format structured?
A: We follow a flipped classroom model. All course work (reading, quiz, tests) is handled online at your own time. When you come to class it is fast paced with interactive lecture reviews and context of the content that you learned at home. In-person sessions also focus on hands-on skills, scenarios, and practical training.

Q: What certification will I receive?
A: Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to take the National Registry EMT (NREMT) exam, the standard certification recognized across the country for EMS.

Q: Can I work as an EMT right after passing the exam?
A: Yes! Graduates who pass the NREMT exam and complete state licensing requirements can begin working as EMTs for volunteer or paid organizations. Our course will focus on the local areas that want or need qualified personnel to add to their ranks.

Q: Are payment plans available?
A: Yes. There is an option for half of tuition being due before class begins, and the remainder is due by November 10, 2025.

Certainly truth!

You know what kills good EMS? Pretending it runs like a profitable clinic.

We’re the only public safety service expected to pay for ourselves on the backs of our patients, then take the blame when the system collapses.

Thank you to S&F Trucking and Mya’s Mission for your incredible support in helping us bring a Narcan box to our community — your generosity is making a lifesaving difference! We would like to give a huge hug to Shani for giving us a touching speech to our Killdeer community!🚑💙

A Narcan box works like a community-accessible emergency station, similar to an AED box. It holds doses of Narcan (naloxone) and is placed in a public area so that anyone can access it before an opioid overdose emergency. The goal is to make lifesaving medication available quickly and easily!
