🎃 Health is a great treat — but candy’s pretty sweet too! 🍬

This past Saturday, October 25, we had a spooktacular time at the Resource Family Fun Fair: Spooky Edition! 👻 Hosted by the Northumberland Department of Social Services at the Northumberland Family YMCA, the event was wonderfully organized, and we loved seeing all the amazing costumes!

We connected with so many community members and shared information about our services — helping us better serve the people of Northumberland with quality, compassionate health care.

🦷 October is National Dental Hygiene Month!

This month, we’re celebrating Carol Carr, RDH, our incredible hygienist who helps our patients keep a healthy smile.

In FY 2024–25, Carol provided care to 764 patients, completing 6,040 procedures during 1,198 visits, all made possible with support from the VA Health Care Foundation.

NNMFHC is celebrating 32 years of dedicated care to the rural Northern Neck and Middlesex counties. With four departments, a skilled staff, committed volunteers, generous donors, and trusted partners, the Clinic continues to fill critical health care gaps and serve as a safety net for so many of our neighbors.

In just the past two years, we’ve seen remarkable growth—and we’re determined to keep moving forward to meet the needs of an increasing number of uninsured individuals.

Our Peer Recovery Specialists will be at the Irvington Farmer’s Market on October 4 - stop by and say hello!

🌱 They’ll share about Peer Recovery, their work as Community Health Workers, and answer questions about the Clinic.

🌱 Visitors are also welcome to leave a donation to support the Clinic’s work.

🛟 Save a Life Day!

NNMFHC's two Peer Recovery Specialists, Sam Terry and Lacey Edwards, were invited to participate in Save a Life Day last week in Westmoreland County. Tiffany Bounds and her crew at Mobile Integrated Healthcare coordinated this event to connect with the community by handing out more than 700 bags filled with Narcan and community resources for those impacted by opioids and substance use.

A big thank you to Tiffany Bounds and the Mobile Integrated Healthcare team for partnering with us to make this outreach possible!
