Your collection rate looks great on paper. Your bank account tells a different story.

MDA has watched this play out for 41 years now. National vendors pump up their "collection rates" by writing off claims that could, and should, be collected.

This makes their metrics look fantastic while your revenue disappears.
Why do they do it? Working denials doesn't scale their business. It's easier to write off YOUR money than to fight for it.

We took over billing for a Virginia EMS agency. Their previous vendor was the biggest name in EMS billing in the state. We recovered 48% of what they'd written off as "uncollectible."

Nearly half.

That's not unusual for us. We've increased net collections for every single client over 31 years, since our CEO took over. All of them. Across 37 different specialties. From small practices to hospital systems.

Here's something else worth considering: While you're worried about collections, how secure is your data?

One major EMS billing company had a breach that exposed approximately 250,000 patient records. Another large vendor got hit in 2024, 190 million records compromised.
