I used to think healing meant reliving it all.
Replaying every moment.
Figuring out what I should have done better, said differently, or avoided entirely.
Now I understand it’s less about excavation
and more about grace.
Releasing judgment.
Offering myself forgiveness.
Letting the nervous system rest instead of standing trial.
Healing doesn’t always ask us to remember more.
Sometimes it asks us to stop punishing ourselves for surviving.
