School Nutrition Association of Wisconsin (SNA-WI)

School Nutrition Association of Wisconsin (SNA-WI) SNA is a national, nonprofit professional organization that advocates quality nutrition to children through education and support for our members.

The School Nutrition Association (SNA) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing more than 51,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. The Wisconsin Chapter of SNA (SNA-WI) has over 1,150 members, over half of which are certified, and another 30 have achieved their SNS Credential (School Nutrition Specialist). In conjunction with the national office and valuable industry support, SNA-WI has been working to advance the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education. The organization is in constant contact with Congressmen, Senators and Representatives to influence important nutrition legislation. Meaningful achievement awards have been created at the state and national level to recognize professionalism in the industry, and to help members offset expenses to attend state-wide and national events. SNA-WI strives to be the recognized school food service resource for child nutrition information in the State of Wisconsin by providing opportunities for professional growth and development for school food service personnel. This is accomplished by encouraging members to participate in the many education events offered by SNA-WI, regional and local Chapter events, affiliated organizations such as the Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Dairy Council, Hunger Task Force and many others.

🧡 It’s Unity Day 2025! 🧡

Today, SNA-WI joins schools and communities across the nation in standing together for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Unity Day, started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011, is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month — a day to remind everyone that we are stronger when we build commUNITY.

The call to action is simple: wear and share ORANGE! This bold color sparks conversations and shows visible support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention efforts everywhere.

Let’s make our schools a place where everyone feels they belong. 💫
