There’s been a lot of chatter lately about occupational therapy for children, and I know it can feel confusing. What can OT really do for your child?
Occupational therapy supports kids with things like:
• Sensory sensitivities (clothing, noise, textures)
• Big emotional reactions or difficulty with regulation
• Fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting, buttons, zippers)
• Attention and focus challenges
• Picky eating or feeding concerns
• Coordination and body awareness
• Difficulty with transitions or daily routines
I’ve put together a list of common “red flags” that might indicate a child could benefit from OT support. If you’re curious or would like to talk through your specific concerns, we’ll be offering free phone consultations to help you determine next steps — no pressure, just support.
