Sometimes Chad, our funeral director (without much of a choice), ends up serving as the guinea pig.

All in good fun but always with a focus on doing things the right way for the families we serve.

Every Life Has a Story Worth Telling

Choosing cremation doesnโ€™t limit how you honor a life, it simply opens the door to different options.

Every life deserves to be remembered in a way that feels personal and true to who they were. With cremation, families often choose:

๐€ ๐•๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง & ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐›๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž ๐๐ž๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง
A time for friends and family to gather, share memories, and show support.

A meaningful ceremony where loved ones come together to celebrate a life well lived.

๐€ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐…๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐†๐จ๐จ๐๐›๐ฒ๐ž
A quiet, intimate setting to say farewell in your own way.

Thereโ€™s no one-size-fits-all approach. What matters most is creating something that reflects your loved one and brings comfort to those left behind.

If you have questions about cremation options, weโ€™re here to walk with you every step of the way.

As the Office Administrator at Sanders Funeral Service, Shelley is often one of the first voices families hear and one of the steady forces working behind the scenes. She plays a vital role in ensuring every detail is handled with care and professionalism, helping support both families and staff through every step of the process.

When sheโ€™s not at the funeral home, Shelley enjoys working in her vegetable garden and attending her grandchildrenโ€™s events. Family time and the simple moments at home are where she finds balance and joy.

Many people are surprised to learn that Shelley had a career as a floral designer for several years, managing a shop in California. She also brings decades of medical experience to her role as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and a Paramedic for 20, spending much of her career in emergency medicine, including five years as a flight nurse. She still works part time at Chisholm Trail Technology Center assisting with the training of future LPNโ€™s.

Shelley hopes families leave Sanders feeling that their loved one was cared for beyond expectations and that they were treated like part of the Sanders family. She treasures the small-town feel of this community and the way people genuinely connect with one another. This line of work has reinforced her belief in cherishing every moment, planning the trips, gathering often, and capturing memories, because life is never guaranteed.

Guided by faith and a lifelong calling to care for others, Shelleyโ€™s path as a first-generation college graduate has been shaped by determination, compassion, and a heart for service.

Weโ€™re grateful to have Shelley as part of the Sanders team and community.

After most funeral services, family and friends gather together for a time of food, stories, and connection.

Itโ€™s a space where memories are shared, tears are shed, laughter is heard, and support is felt.

While the service honors a life, the gathering reminds us of the love that continues. Itโ€™s a gentle transition, a moment to be together and to begin moving forward, surrounded by community.

Whether held at home, in a church hall, a park, or a reception room, thereโ€™s no right or wrong way to do it.

Potluck or catered, big or small, what matters most is doing what feels right for your family.

If you ever need help planning a meaningful time of remembrance and connection, weโ€™re here to guide you every step of the way.
