Kingman CrossFit will proudly host one class at 8AM to honor our nation’s heroes through the Hero Workout: CHAD 1000x.
This powerful workout consists of 1,000 weighted step-ups for time, and it’s more than just a physical challenge — it’s a tribute. 💪
The Story Behind CHAD:
This workout is done in memory of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson, a 22-year active duty veteran who tragically lost his life to su***de on October 29th, 2019. Chad trained for a climb up Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, by performing 1,000 step-ups at a time — the very workout that now bears his name.
Today, CHAD 1000x stands as a global movement to raise awareness for veteran mental health and su***de prevention. Chad is survived by his wife Sara Wilkinson, a CrossFit L4 Coach, affiliate owner, and Flowmaster for CrossFit HQ, and their daughter Kinsley.
At Kingman CrossFit, we proudly complete this workout every year to honor those who served and to bring awareness to the silent battles many veterans face long after service.
🎒 If you plan to complete CHAD with weight, bring a backpack, ruck, or vest. As always, this workout can be scaled to meet all fitness levels — all are welcome to join.
Let’s climb together. Let’s remember together. Let’s honor together. ❤️🤍💙
