Meet our Spotlight Employee for the Month of January... Kelly!

Kelly is a Director for Sunny Days and has been with the company for 4 years. She is originally from Detroit and currently lives in Iron Mountain. She has two sons and one grandson. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and is currently in the process of puppy training! Her favorite food is spicy Thai food, She enjoys listening to Classic Rock and Country music, and her favorite movies are The Way We Were and Goodwill Hunting.

When asked about her favorite part about working at Sunny Days, she replied: “I enjoy building relationships, listening, and helping others feel supported and understood. Every day is a little different, and I like knowing that what I do can make someone's day easier or better in a meaningful way. My favorite part of my job is the amazing team I work with. We support one another, communicate openly, and truly work as a team. They all have a way of making even the challenging days rewarding...” Her advice to new employees is to ask questions early and often. We are all here to support each other. Her favorite memory is when one of our Sunny Days caregivers drove a snowmobile to work during a blizzard to ensure that her client got care. Kelly’s life mantra is to do the right thing and let the rest unfold.
