At Creekside Behavioral Health, art is more than an activity—it’s a powerful part of the healing process. These recent creations by our adolescent inpatient patients highlight the impact of expressive therapy using air-dry clay.
This therapeutic approach helps reduce stress and anxiety, encourages emotional expression through a non-verbal medium, and supports mindfulness. The tactile nature of clay promotes grounding and relaxation, while the act of creating something meaningful can boost self-esteem and strengthen problem-solving skills.
