What an incredible day at Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health! đź’™

On Tuesday, we welcomed our amazing community partners for a meet-and-greet luncheon and panel discussion with our leadership team and providers. We were excited to introduce our new Medical Director, Dr. Seymour Kushnir, and to thank Dr. Berger for his dedicated service as our Interim Medical Director.

Our CEO, Lynn Brown, led the panel and presented Dr. Berger with a plaque to honor his time with us.

To everyone who came out—especially those who drove hours to be there—THANK YOU. We are so grateful for your support and partnership. Together, we’re making a difference in behavioral health care. 🙏

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of presenting on our services and admission process to the incredible team at Fellowship House in Scranton, PA.

We had a great conversation about how we can collaborate in the future to better support our community. I also got a wonderful tour, learned so much about the important work they do, and met the dedicated staff who show up every day to help men struggling with Substance Use Disorder. Truly inspiring.

Huge thank you to Joe and Becky for the opportunity!

And I have to add—this place has some of the most unique office decor I’ve ever seen.

It was an honor to represent Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health and connect with so many dedicated professionals—counselors, case managers, and recovery specialists—who provide direct care across Pennsylvania.

I also appreciated the opportunity to network with other resource providers from across the state. A special highlight was our very own CEO Lynn Brown who has served on the PCB Board of Directors for the past 4 years kicking off the conference with fellow ethics committee members with a panel presentation.

Beyond the sessions, it was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new colleagues committed to this vital work.

Looking forward to building on these conversations.

Important conversations are happening right here in the Wyoming Valley. 🗣️

We recently had the privilege of welcoming Tatiana Villa, Regional Director of Intergovernmental & External Affairs with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, alongside Representative Brenda Pugh, to Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health.

During their visit, they met with our CEO, Lynn Brown, and our Director of Social Services, Dr. Angelique Cortez, for a meaningful discussion focused on the growing presence of new narcotics in our communities—and the significant impact these substances are having on mental health.

Conversations like these are essential. By bringing together leaders across healthcare and government, we can continue working toward stronger solutions and better support for individuals and families affected throughout our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and remain committed to being part of the solution.

We had a wonderful visit last week! đź’™

Our CEO Lynn Brown and Business Development Representative Kate Favata recently spent time with the amazing team at the Northeast Regional Crisis Stabilization Center in Honesdale, Pa.

We had the chance to share more about Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health, learn about their incredible services, and tour their beautiful new facility. It was a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and talk about how we can continue working together to better serve our communities.

This 24/7, 8-bed facility provides such an important safety net for individuals in crisis—offering flexible stays and round-the-clock phone and mobile crisis support for all ages.

A huge thank you to Center for Community Resources and partners at the Wayne County Office of Behavioral and Development Programs & Early Intervention and Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Development Services for making this resource possible.

And special thanks to Victoria, Sarah, Josh, and the entire team for the meaningful work you do every day—you are truly making a difference! 🙌

Great things happen when providers come together for the community! 🧠💙

We could not have picked a more beautiful day to come out to Mahanoy City. We want to thank Jimaine Oidtman and the team at STR Behavioral Health - Silver Pines in Mahanoy City, Pa. for hosting our Business Development Representative Kate Favata. Kate enjoyed touring the facility and appreciated the chance to present on Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health and was happy to learn more about Silver Pines. We are excited to explore ways to work together to support those on their mental health and recovery journey.
