February may be the shortest month of the year, but there will be no shortage of fun and opportunities! The Town Hall will be coming to help us with voter registrations & transfers, the church choir will be joining us for a Valentine sing-a-long & reception, and we’re having a Super Bowl Party - GO PATS! It’s an Olympic year, so we will host our own All American resident & staff Olympic Games! We will welcome Steppin’ Out Dance Academy for a weekend performance, plus, the Brentwood Girl Scouts will be here with a cookie booth in the lobby on Sun 2/15 from 2-4pm! “Come get your Thin Mints and Samoas!” We’ve got the Seacoast Classical School visiting us for a field trip & social, a guest crafter offering a valentine workshop, Mardi Gras celebration, and all our wonderful live entertainment and bus outings to look forward to. EVERYONE BETTER EAT THEIR WHEATIES!

We are proud to nurture an environment of community, friendship, and compassion. We show those qualities to one another in many different ways. One of our families recently expressed a touching story, and with their permission to share, it beautifully illustrates the power of community.

Upon returning to All American, after receiving outside treatment, Barbara’s friends asked her daughters if they could see Barb right away. The ladies all held her hand and showed their care and concern for her, offering her prayers. (And they of course saved her seat at the dinner table.) 💕

We’ve been getting ready for Heart Health Month coming up in February! Our indoor walking group has set their goal for 125 laps to raise awareness of heart disease and protect their own cardiovascular health! They have designed and laminated colorful hearts that have been hung to mark the walking route. Our group is growing as their friends and neighbors are joining in on the initiative! Watch our lap meter rise as you visit during the month and/or join us on a walk! ❤️

How it’s going ❄️ We are so thankful to the staff who came in early and those that slept over in the building to assure resident care would not have any interruptions during the storm. Our Maintenance Director has been working around the clock since 10 AM on Sunday, and our Executive Director stayed overnight in the building as well as our Culinary Director to oversee safety and support for both residents and staff. All is well in Kingston!
