Just 364 days until Christmas! We’ve had such a wonderful holiday season full of opportunities and special people that we will look forward to it coming around again and making even more amazing memories. Until then, please enjoy a few pictures from December that didn’t make the daily posts.

We received letters from the students at Seacoast Classical School telling us about their favorite cookies and asking for a response with our favorites. We are working on that writing project offering our expert opinions! We had family pop in to paint with us, a basket of materials become a custom wreath, and lots of puppy love.

On Rose Lane, sugar cookies were decorated, we had the daily lighting of the menorah, and a special reindeer breakfast! We live for the big moments, the little moments, and everything in between!

We had a fun game of holiday prize BINGO this afternoon! Great presents were wrapped and winners of the game chose one to open and keep the gift. Following, we had our Christmas Eve social, with a silly ring toss antler game, holiday charades, and Christmas trivia. AND Santa came a little early for a drive thru!!

Our community was buzzing with children again this morning! The beautiful families of a local homeschool group blessed us with home-baked muffins & cookies, sweet laughter & conversation, handmade cards, and a silly holiday Mad Libs game! One of the mothers is a very talented flutist, so she provided lovely background music for our festivities. We are so fortunate and grateful for the love and good will!

It’s heartwarming to receive homemade holiday cards and see little handwriting with attempts at cursive script. Students at Danville Elementary School put a lot of care and effort into creating lovely cards for us. Each resident also received a cute penguin gift from the children. This holiday season our community has been filled with warmth and joy. In addition to our residents having fun, we’ve also celebrated our exceptional staff with a spirit week. We had a hot cocoa bar, festive hats & headgear, a gingerbread decorating contest, and staff luncheon with Secret Santa to name a few. The dedication and compassion it takes to elevate the lives of the people in your care is a privilege and an enormous responsibility. Our team treats our residents as family because true bonds are made and you see their commitment both on and off the clock. We give the crew a standing ovation - you are appreciated and valued!

The Kingston VFW Post 1088 was an amazing host for our veterans today. They had great refreshments for us with custom cookies, Santa made an appearance with a special gift for each of our men, and there were games with prizes. It was awesome for the guys to get out for a holiday gathering with their military brothers!

Joyful, joyful, we are joyful! We were surrounded by family as we celebrated the season this evening with cocktail hour, followed by a wonderful holiday meal, and live music by “Now’s the Time”. Thank you to everyone who filled our happy home with hugs, laughter, and good tidings; it was a very special night.
