I AM MADE OF CONTRADICTIONS

Sometimes I am silence.
Sometimes I am a storm.

There are days when I retreat into my own world,
and others when my soul overflows
and words come endlessly.

I can seem serious,
yet I laugh easily.
And when the heart feels heavy,
I allow myself to cry.

Calm and restless.
Strong and sensitive
in equal measure.

I love music,
but I have learned to value the silence
life uses to realign me within.

I enjoy long conversations,
but only with those who bring truth,
lightness, and peace.

I carry many versions of myself.
All real.
All survivors.

You've already proven how powerful you are. Now, you just need to remember it.

Everything in life is like a garden: relationships, health, work, even personal happiness. They all need attention and nurturing. Think of relationships; the moment we stop tending to them or take them for granted, it’s just a matter of time before they stop growing. The decline happens slowly at first and often goes unnoticed in the early stages.

And, it’s easy, in this comparison culture, to get drawn into focusing on all the things that other people represent as their lives (fancy vacations, perfect relationships, shiny new things…) Instead, bring your attention/appreciation back to what you already have, nurture it with some love and humor, and watch it flourish. The grass is definitely greener where you water it.

Comment a 💚 if you see the value in nurturing what you have.

“Not taking things personally is a superpower.” — James Clear

Things other people do or say are often not because of you or even about you.

It may be that they are being triggered by something connected either to an unresolved childhood experience, or an old hurt, and they’re taking it out on you. That’s never an excuse, but it may help make sense of things.

When we don’t take things personally, it gives us more power over our thoughts, feelings, and actions. When we don’t take things personally, we recognize the uniqueness of all people; and accept that others may see life through a different lens.

When we don't take things personally, it's easier to be more open and loving, and less afraid of being vulnerable with people in general. Accessing your joy is a power move.

Drop 🙌🏾 if you are trying not to take things personally.

Good Morning

You don’t have to have things all figured out or perfect.

That idea
That side business
That new project
That book you want to write
That podcast you want to do

The important part is that you start

Now

Imperfect, messy
Just start

In a year you’ll be glad you stopped waiting for the “right” time

Do it
Start
