We hold once-monthly meetings, which you can attend either in person or virtually (via Zoom), and discuss initiatives that strive to support Democrats, and democracy, throughout our region. We are also working on creating a non-profit to further support women's health, safety and well-being in all of our communities.

Happy Valentine’s Day from the UCDW! ♥️

AROUND ULSTER: This week, UCDW Secretary Teresa Thompson was invited to tour the new, state-of-the-art Ulster BOCES facility at the iPark 87 in Kingston. This highly-lauded educational center right here in Ulster County has been visited by Governor Kathy Hochul, Representative Pat Ryan, County Executive Jen Metzger and a plethora of local, national and international businesses. Ulster BOCES is a multi-million dollar endeavor dedicated to student advancement in fields like Robotics, Manufacturing, Health Sciences, HVAC & Electrical, Culinary Arts, Government & Law and many other fields of study. Current educator (and former New Paltz Police Chief) Rob Lucchesi stated, “Everything is brand new and students are learning multi-disciplinary topics in a unique and profound way, whether it be mechanics, law or cosmetology.”
Huge thanks to Ulster BOCES Superintendent Dr. Jonah Schenker and his staff for bringing their vision to our Ulster County students!
If you have children, grandchildren or students of any kind, please check out the new Ulster BOCES in Kingston. It’s the talk of the town and proof positive that great things are happening in Ulster County!
