‼️To all our fans, past and present and our awesome supporters throughout the years‼️

It's been a very long 5 months waiting for gyms to finally be allowed to open back in NY State.

This pandemic has had a devastating impact to the fitness industry as well as many other small businesses that have been forced to close permanently.

Unfortunately, our Further Fitness physical location is one of them. We have spent quite a few years building a truly wonderful community...a place for everyone to feel comfortable in their gym working towards their goals. Whether it was strength, weight loss or just wanting to feel good.

We appreciate the time we had with our community and are truly grateful for all of our members that have come through our doors entrusting us to give them the best service possible.

It's hard to fathom that the best thing one can do especially during this pandemic, being healthy and strong, seems to be the thing that is the most difficult to accomplish. Whether it's because of shutdowns, fear of crowds and contact or intimidation of starting.

We believe that you shouldn't shut down working on your health and fitness just because our physical business has been shut down.

We are very excited and happy for all the gym owners who have been able to keep their facility.💝🥳

⭐Did you know that the power of habit can HELP you when you are tired, stressed, or overwhelmed?💪

✅According to researchers, that’s when we actually tend to rely on our habits (both good AND bad!) the most!!

👉Our habits (once we’ve developed them) require very little effort – they are automatic behaviors.

So it makes sense that we fall back on them when we don’t have a lot of energy, according to researcher Wendy Wood, who wrote the book Good Habits, Bad Habits.

🍎This is all the more reason to lean into and develop good habits when things are going great – they’ll help carry you through times when you need it the most

💡BONUS TIP: If you’re looking to quit a bad habit, Wood suggests finding a replacement habit instead.

For example, if you normally scroll your phone during lunch, find something else that’s just as enjoyable – like reading a book or going for a walk.

👩‍🎨🎸Or, if you want to cut back on nighttime snacking, work on a hobby or new skill (like woodworking, playing the guitar, or you name it!).

🤔Writing your goals down is an important part of the goal-setting setting process.

🔥FACT 🔥!

💡It’s tempting to believe that simply thinking about your goal (“keeping it in mind”) is effective.

📔✏And while it’s definitely helpful to THINK about your goal, actually writing it down takes it to the next level.

💭According to self development expert and author Brian Tracy, most of us have about 1,500 thoughts a minute (!!!!). Most of those thoughts overlap, plus they are jumbled, vague, and unfocused.

✌Writing your goals helps give you clarity and motivation to see them through. Rereading and clarifying your goals over time also gives them more power!

Takeaway: It’s worth spending a few minutes thinking about – and then writing down! – your goals! And if you want to boost the power, REREAD your goals every single morning.

If you’re concerned with being in a gym, with other gym goers who may not be following all the new guidelines, be reassured of your safety with our online services or our 1:1 at home training services.
